Becoming a Provider
To become an in-network provider under BCBS Blue Card™ PPO program, contact the Provider Relations Department at your local Blue Cross and Blue Shield. To become a network provider under the Aetna EPO program, contact the Provider Relations Department at Aetna Healthcare in Blue Bell, PA.
Any dental service provider interested in becoming a member of the panel should contact the Fund’s dental consultant, Louis P. Mattucci & Associates, at (215) 364-6500.
Any vision care provider interested in becoming a participating provider under the Fund’s vision program should contact National Vision Administrators, L.L.C. at 1-800-672-7723.
HIPAA Transactions
All medical claims should be submitted through Independence Blue Cross. For information concerning the submission of HIPAA standard transaction claims for medical treatment of Fund participants, please visit https://www.ibx.com/resources/for-providers/claims-and-billing/electronic-data-interchange.
If you are a participating provider in either of the Fund’s Dental PPO or Vision PPO programs, dental or vision claims should be submitted through the dental/vision PPO program administrator, Louis P. Mattucci & Associates.
If you are not a participating provider in either the Dental PPO or Vision PPO programs and are interested in electronically submitting HIPAA standard transactions to the Fund, please review the Fund’s Electronic Trading Partner Agreement and Provider Companion Guide. If acceptable, return the signed Trading Partner Agreement to the Fund office to arrange for setup and testing.

The claims processing system utilized by the Teamsters Health & Welfare Fund of Philadelphia and Vicinity is the HealthPac® system licensed by the Fund from Eldorado Computing, Inc. of Phoenix, Arizona.
