Open Enrollment 2017

Open enrollment season is upon us. If you want to change from the PPO program to the HMO program or vice versa for the 2017 plan year, now is the time to do it. Watch your mail for important information. Open enrollment ends December 2nd.

Those members who fulfilled the wellness screening requirements during the screening period ending October 31, 2016 have earned participation in the “Platinum” benefit programs during 2017. Those who did not will receive a letter in mid-December notifying them that:

  1. Their benefits during 2017 will be under one of the “Gold” benefit programs (either PPO or HMO, depending upon which option they chose during open enrollment);
  2. They will receive new ID cards near the end of December with the new copay/deductible amounts; and
  3. They will have one last chance to earn participation in the Platinum plan for a portion of the 2017 plan year (but no earlier than April 1, 2017) if they get their screening done.
